Vintage Sterling Silver Leaf and Berry Brooch Pin - Denmark - Modernist - Signed COF #d474

Regular price $73.00
This lovely mid-century modernist brooch was created by Danish silversmith, Carl Ove Frydensberg, who designed fine silver jewelry from 1949 to 1982. The brooch has the curved shape of a stem with alternating, oval leaves and round berries. The end of the brooch curls into a beautiful tendril that adds extra flair. The brooch is three-dimensional, adding beauty and great visual interest to the piece when viewed from different angles. The brooch closes with a simple c catch closure. It's a gorgeous piece!

The brooch measures about 2 5/16 inches long, 1 1/8 inches wide and weighs 4.9 grams. It is signed "925S COF DENMARK", which is the mark for Carl Ove Frydensberg, on the c catch of the brooch.

This fabulous piece is a fine example of mid-century modern silver jewelry and would make a fine addition to a Scandinavian silver jewelry collection. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition with dark patina to the back from age. It's a marvelous find!
