Contemporary Sterling Silver & Turquoise Ring, Three Stone Ring, Native American, Size 7 1/2 #c440
I'm pleased to present today, this huge and wonderful sterling silver and turquoise ring by Native American silversmith, Michael Velez!
Michael Velez is a well-known silversmith and the owner of the Velez Galleries, LTD in Colorado Springs, Co. The shop sells Michael's beautifully handcrafted silver creations as well as jewelry, art, textiles and pottery from many other Native American artisans.
This gorgeous Velez ring features a very large oval face with three beautiful turquoise stones that have been arranged vertically. The large area around the stones has an oxidized finish that really makes the gorgeous blue stones pop. The edge of the ring face is decorated with a lovely rope detail around its entire circumference. The shank of the ring itself is quite unique, having a triple split design with two smooth silver bands at the top and bottom and a fabulous rope band in between. It's a superb statement ring!
The ring measures about a size 7 1/2 and weighs a substantial 10.4 grams. The face of the ring is about 1 1/2 inches long and 7/8 inch wide. It is signed Michael Velez and hallmarked "Sterling" at the top and bottom back of the ring face.
This marvelous ring is so unique and beautiful and it makes a definite statement on the hand! With its long length, it lends itself to being worn on the middle or index finger and would look amazing worn with other silver and stone rings on the hand. It would make a wonderful addition to a Native American silver jewelry collection and a very fine gift. The ring is in excellent condition and ready to wear or to be gifted!
