Antique Victorian 9Ct Yellow Gold Green Connemara Marble Shamrock Horseshoe Bar Pin Brooch #c689
For offer today, I have this marvelous Victorian gold shamrock and horseshoe bar pin brooch!

This lovely brooch is comprised of 9Ct yellow gold and green Connemara marble. Connemara marble is a rare stone found only in the Connemara region of Ireland and Scotland and is known as the "Irish gemstone."

The brooch features a long solid gold bar with a slightly angled horseshoe in the center. Swirling tendrils flow through the horseshoe to both sides ending at two lovely, three-leaf green marble shamrocks or clover. The green marble stones have variations and some lighter coloration that give the leaves depth and a realistic clover appearance. The brooch closes with an old-style C clasp closures. It's an absolutely superb piece!

The brooch measures about 2 1/4 inches long, 1/2 inch wide and weighs 2.3 grams. It is marked "9ct" on one end of the back of the brooch. There are also some marks on the back of the horseshoe that may be a makers mark, but I was unable to decipher them.

This is such a wonderful brooch! It would make an exceptional good luck gift and a great addition to a fine antique jewelry collection. The beauty and quality of this piece are just exceptional! What a great piece to wear for St. Patrick's Day, or to wear anytime that you're just feeling (or want to feel) lucky! The brooch is in excellent antique condition with normal wear and some patina from age.
