Vintage Guatemala 900 Silver Charm Bracelet, Central America, Culture, Drum, Quetzal Bird, Coffee Bean, Xylophone, Nice! #c478
DESCRIPTION: This wonderful charm bracelet is from Guatemala. It is comprised of 900 silver and features a decorative silver link style chain, four large silver balls and a large box clasp. Nine charms are interspersed along the chain and depict the Guatemalan culture. The charms include a banana, a xylophone, a coffee bean, a quetzal bird, a drum, two human figures and two charms that I could not identify. The charms are large and it's a wonderfully chunky bracelet. This is most likely a tourist piece that would have been purchased by a traveler to Central America. It's a beautiful piece of jewelry that truly captures the essence of the Guatemalan way of life.

MARKS: The bracelet is marked "Guatemala" and "900" on the back of the box clasp.

SIZE: The bracelet measures about 7 1/4 inches long. The charms vary in size, but the longest charm, the quetzal bird, is approximately 1 3/8 inches long.

WEIGHT: 39.5 Grams

CONDITION: Excellent, pre-owned, vintage condition. Normal surface scratches from previous use/wear/storage and some tarnish. Some wear to the clasp from use.

USES: This bracelet is so unique and chunky and it really makes a statement! It's a great piece for anyone who collects Central American silver jewelry or tourist jewelry. It would nicely complement any other silver jewelry and would make a very nice gift.
