Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Lizard Brooch, Jason Livingston, Stamped, Figural, Gecko, Totem, Spirit #c518
What a wonderful vintage sterling silver lizard brooch by Navajo silversmith, Jason Livingston!

This fabulous handcrafted sterling silver brooch features the figure of a lizard or gecko. The lizard is twisted around in a circle and he has stamped scale patterns on his body and tail and two cute round eyes. He is finished in a smooth silver on both the front and back. The brooch closes with a locking c clasp closure. It's an absolutely charming piece!

The brooch measures about 1 3/8 inches long, 1 11/16 inches wide and weighs 5.5 grams. It is signed "J" for Jason Livingston and hallmarked "Sterling" on the back of the brooch.

Seeing a lizard is considered a good omen to Native Americans. It is said to symbolize vision, self-protection, and intuition, among many other things. Having the lizard as your totem or spirit animal is said to tell you to follow your intuition and to face your fears. When you wear this fanciful lizard brooch, perhaps it will help guide you through your life. But whether it does or doesn't, it is certain to brighten up your day! It's a great piece to add to a Navajo silver jewelry collection and would make a fine gift. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition and ready to wear!
