Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver & White MOP Feather Pierced Earrings, Wheeler Manufacturing Co, Artist Signed, So Beautiful! #c482
Here's a fabulous pair of Navajo sterling silver and white mother of pearl (MOP) feather pierced earrings from Wheeler Manufacturing Co.!
Wheeler Manufacturing is a company that has been in business since the 1940's and is known for producing fine Southwestern silver jewelry. These beautiful artist-signed Wheeler earrings are comprised of fine sterling silver. They feature silver bead, post-style tops with gorgeous curved silver feather and MOP dangles beneath them. The MOP stones are set in pretty scalloped bezels and the feathers have marvelous etched details. The silver around the bezel has been oxidized black which provides a marvelous contrast to the white MOP stones. Silver beads and swirls finish off the dangles, adding wonderful visual interest to the earrings. They are superb!
The earrings measure about 1 1/16 inches long, 9/16 inch wide and weigh 6.5 grams. They are signed "WcMo" for Wheeler Manufacturing Co. and hallmarked "Ster" on the backs of the dangles. They are also signed on the bottom of the backs of the dangles with the artist initials "CH".
These lovely earrings have such fantastic details and they are simply captivating! If you love and collect Native American jewelry, this is a wonderful pair of earrings to add to your collection. They can be easily dressed up or down and would nicely complement any other silver jewelry. The earrings are in excellent vintage condition and ready to wear or to gift!
