Vintage Taxco Sterling Silver & Turquoise Chip Inlay Swirl Long Ring - Size 6 1/4 - Eagle #2 #c760
This beautiful handmade ring is an early Mexican Taxco piece. It is comprised of fine sterling silver and turquoise stone chips. It features a long rectangular face with repeating, horizontal silver swirl designs. In between the swirls, the ring has been inlaid with turquoise chips in multi-hued blue colors. The band is unembellished and finished in a smooth, shiny silver. It is a gorgeous and unique handcrafted ring!

The ring measures about a size 6 1/4 on my ring mandrel. The face of the ring is approximately 3/4 inch long and the ring weighs 2.2 grams. The ring is signed and hallmarked "EV" (partially obscured) and "925" on the inside of the band. It is also stamped with an Eagle #2 mark It is not signed Mexico, but the Eagle #2 mark indicates it is a Taxco, Mexico piece.

This is a marvelous old statement ring and is most likely a one of a kind piece! It looks wonderful worn alone on the hand and would also look fantastic mixed with other silver and stone rings. It would make a fine addition to Mexican silver jewelry collection and an excellent gift! The ring is in very good vintage condition. Since the ring is handcrafted, it does exhibit irregularities in the construction that would not be found in a machine-made piece. There is one tiny area in the chip inlay that is missing a stone chip (photo #8). It's not very noticeable and really doesn't detract from its beauty. It's a wonderfully unique find!
